Head Gasket change time on K3

2003 750. I had a weird head gasket failure last night. Last track day bike was fine, gave it some love by removing water wetter and adding anti freeze for the winter, oil filter and oil change. Bike sat for 5 days with no oil in it prior to adding fresh oil. fired it up and had an water in my oil after viewing the sight glass and fluid getting into the exhaust.

My question is how long it really takes to change the head gasket. I had a bike shop quote me 9 hours. I read on another forum 2 hours. Has anyone done this job and does the motor have to be pulled?

    Thank you

    Keith

Depends on if the head needs skimming, condition of engine, the book allows 9hrs but there will always be someone who thinks they can do it in a lot less time. Off the top of my head I'm pretty certain it's engine out job
